What a Cliché!
A realistic treatment of cliches in Harry Potter

The popularity of the Harry Potter universe has given rise to a surprising number of clichéd ideas and other "tropes." Some of these themes have become extremely wide spread and have given rise to some spectacularly awful fanfiction based around them.

For that reason, and that reason alone, I am embarking on an attempt to realistically portray as many of these clichéd ideas that I can. Some of them will be easier than others, but I will not force myself to any specific posting schedule other than to say that I plan to begin posting the first story on October 1, 2010, and that I will take a break during November to attempt NaNoWriMo.

There are several reasons, the best of which is that DW caters to content creators rather than content aggregators (and rather than spambots from Russia), and that was my biggest beef with LJ. Strikethrough '07, anybody?
